About-Brinda

Radha and Krishna in Vrindavan.Inbrindavan.com is a forest full of thoughts and emotions. Everything is possible here as long as Krishna is at the centre.

Namaste. I am Brinda. An ordinary human being like you. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Physics. I was an English teacher by profession. I taught students belonging to different age groups and countries for well over a decade. I also coached final year college students (who had studied in vernacular medium schools) for the verbal ability section before they appeared for competitive exams.

Yes. I taught them. But I learnt a whole lot more from them. They were the ones who taught me to see things from diverse perspectives. I no longer teach. But my students have put me on a constant learning mode.

It was during that phase that I discovered my passion for writing. Initially, I wrote for the sheer pleasure that I got from writing something nice. My work was almost always published.

Little did I know that I would end up nurturing my passion after that. I worked as a freelance writer and editor for the next five odd years. I loved creating blog posts, short stories for children, write-ups on spirituality and personal experiences, newsletters etc for my clients. I continued to learn and grow as a person during this phase too.

But I learnt the best lesson of all while working as a full-time editor for a popular Indian website on confessions. That has by far been the most beautiful and humbling experience of my life. I even gave up writing for 16 months to focus completely on what I was doing as an editor.

It’s time to change course again. Change is ‘tough’. New beginnings can overwhelm. I don’t know what I will find along the way. But I do know that this time around, I want to write about things that I believe in, in my own unique manner and at my own pace. I also feel that if I focus on “Aaj Ke Anand Ki Jai…” everything else will fall in place at the right time.

I don’t know if you will find what you are looking for in my blog. But I do hope you find something worth your while too.

Do have a blessed day every day.

Namaste.
